Senior Classic Movie Tuesdays
Movies at the millennium will return after the summer on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 with the premire of "The Wizard of Oz." Below you will find the listing for the rest of the fall and winter season! Once again all local seniors can enjoy the 2:00 matinee each Tuesday for FREE. Then in the evening at 7:30 pm the encore performance is only $2.00 and everyone is welcome. See you at the movies!!!!!

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a musical film released in 1954. It was directed by Stanley Donen, with music by Saul Chaplin and Gene de Paul, and lyrics by Johnny Mercer. The script (by Albert Hackett, Frances Goodrich, and Dorothy Kingsley) is based on the short story The Sobbin' Women. | Fiddler on the Roof is the 1971 film version of the Broadway musical of the same name. It was directed by Norman Jewison. The film won three Academy Awards, including one for arranger-conductor John Williams. |
West Side Story is a 1961 film directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins. It is an adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name, adapted from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. | Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein is a 1948 comedy/horror film directed by Charles Barton and starring the comedy team of Abbott and Costello. |
Psycho is a 1960 suspense/horror film directed by author Alfred Hitchcock, from the screenplay by Joseph Stefano about a psychotic killer. It is based on the novel of the same name by Robert Bloch, which was in turn inspired by the crimes of Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein. | The Mummy is a 1932 horror film from Universal Pictures directed by Karl Freund and starring Boris Karloff as a revived ancient Egyptian priest. Dracula is a 1931 horror film produced by Universal Pictures Co. Inc. and based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. | Murder by Death is a 1976 comedy movie written by Neil Simon and directed by Robert Moore. The plot is a spoof of the traditional country house whodunit, familiar to mystery fiction fans from classics such as Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, a form also parodied for the stage in Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound. |
Going My Way, a 1944 film directed by Leo McCarey and starring Bing Crosby. It is a light-hearted musical comedy/drama about a new young priest (Bing Crosby) taking over a parish from an established old veteran (Barry Fitzgerald). Bing Crosby sings five songs in the film. It was followed the next year by a sequel, The Bells of St. Mary's. | The Bells of St. Mary's is a 1945 film which tells the story of a priest and a nun at a school who set out, despite their good-natured rivalry, to save the school from being shut down. |
